1. Are handplanes suitable for everyone?
YES! The handplane works by providing a planing surface and generating lift. So whether they’re a kid whose 4’ tall or grown adult whose 7’ and 100kgs the lift will reduce their drag and make it MUCH easier for them to catch waves and ride them faster, longer, and with more control. On top of this, our fully adjustable handstrap means the handplane can be suited to any hand size.
The only prerequisite to bodysurfing is the ability to swim, if you can swim, you can bodysurf.
2. Do body surfers need swim fins?
Swim fins become necessary once the body surfer is catching waves in water that’s out of their depth. If you’re able to kick off the sea floor and jump into the wave you don’t need swim fins but as soon as a bodysurfer goes beyond this point the fins provide them with enough power to match the speed of the wave and ultimately catch it.
3. Can they exchange or return the gear if the size isn’t right or they don’t absolutely love it?
YES, all of our handplanes come with a TRY FOR FREE FOR 30 DAYS policy which means they can surf their heart out for 30 days and if they dont love it they can return and you’ll get a full refund on your purchase.
For the swim fins we offer a free exchange on style and size within 30 days of receiving them, providing they are stil in a new and used condition.
